FAST™ SIDEKAR™ provides a platform for current and legacy optics/lasers on medium machine guns. Developed to modernize capabilities of the M240 (FN MAG) series, it can be paired with most MMGs in the NATO arsenal.
Long optic riser for day & night operations
FAST™ SIDEKAR™ features a long optic riser that accepts both day and CNVD night optical sights, allowing placement for optimal eye relief. The added height aids gunners’ ability to achieve a sight picture while wearing PPE.
Accessible laser placement with reduced heat exposure
Its 9 o’clock M1913 Rail mounting surface places aiming lasers and laser range finders in a readily accessible position for both gunners and AGs, eliminating the need for long remote switches. By placing the laser further from the barrel, FAST™ SIDEKAR™ also protects it from heat-related damage.
